Whenever I ask my clients what the most important aspect of their wedding day is (besides getting married), almost all of them say they are excited to have all of their favorite people in one place. It’s very rare to see your friends and family together, so weddings are the perfect place to make that happen. Why stop there? There are so many milestones to celebrate, and I think an anniversary is the perfect opportunity to get all of those people back together again.
That’s what this Boulder couple did in the Fall of 2021. Jolene and Chad celebrated their 10th Anniversary on a beautiful evening with their best people. They invited their nearest and dearest friends and family to celebrate a huge milestone in their relationship. Their backyard was filled with colors that complimented the October leaves, from the table cloths, to the florals and the food.
Before guests arrived, family and vendors were busy setting up the backyard and preparing the new wood-fire pizza oven. As people trickled in, they were greeted by their drink of choice and a big hug from our happy couple.
This was truly one of my most favorite events I have ever photographed. Jolene and Chad gave me the freedom to play with my photography and be a fly on the wall as their guests relaxed under the changing leaves. Take a look at some of my favorite shots from the evening!
