Anna and Jared got married during a particularly rainy day in Denver, Colorado. It was filled with love, laughs, and quite a bit of hail. It just so happens to be one of my most favorite weddings I have ever been able to photograph. Despite the crazy weather, everyone’s spirits were high.
We started off the morning at the girls’ airbnb. This charming house was the perfect place to get ready during a cloudy morning. While we were wondering if we could beat the rain and get to the ceremony in time, Anna and her ladies got ready upstairs in calming silence. Anna’s friends took advantage of the disposable camera while I worked on capturing the magic of the day as well. I always love when I see friends taking photos from their perspective. Seeing the couple’s support system in action is truly one of my favorite aspects of being a wedding photographer.
With some dark clouds brewing, we heading to the ceremony in style. The ceremony began just as the rain started to pour, and right when we finished the ceremony, we were escorted inside to hide from the impending hail. Then, Colorado worked it’s magic and the sun came out again! We strolled around the gardens while Anna’s friends tagged along to help her with her beautiful train. Everyone was so thoughtful, and traveled all the way from Australia and Singapore to celebrate Anna and Jared. It was a true testament to the friendships they have made, and a great reflection of the kindness of this couple. I couldn’t get enough of this day!
