Lucy and Matt created the perfect weekend for their out-of-state guests. Their main priority was spending time with the ones they love, and this made the atmosphere of the wedding day so special. Lucy was born and raised in the United Kingdom until she was seven, and Matt is from a small town in Missouri. The whole weekend was filled with so much love. I don’t think I have ever met a cooler couple than these two.
One thing Lucy expressed to me was the importance of my creativity as a wedding photographer. She gave me so much freedom to “play” with different angles and different cameras. I think we got some amazing shots that weren’t typical of they way I approach a wedding day. Lucy and Matt’s wedding gave me the inspiration to shake things up and add in some more “funky” photos and more creative shots to the gallery. I think it has become a fun surprise for my clients. In a sea of perfectly curated photos, my clients will come across a few photos that are intentionally blurry, or have direct flash. I have started to incorporate more of this unique style, and it has fueled my passion for photography as an art form more than ever before. Take a look!
